Concert Review: Lennon Stella at the Fonda Theatre

Lennon Stella. The music industry's new starlet who's ready to serenade you with her soft and delicate vocals, and cause your soul to ascend to heaven.

I began to listen to Stella's music after her collaboration with Liam Payne and Jonas Blue on "Polaroid" and still kick myself to this day for not listening to her sooner because believe me; her career is about to take off. Seeing that she’s getting popular quickly, I consider myself lucky to have been able to secure a ticket to night one of Stella's sold-out show at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.

Lennon wowed the audience with her hit singles like "La Di Da" and "Bad." My personal favorite of the night was “Feelings” and it wasn’t just because the song does indeed slap, but it’s also because miss Lennon Stella looked so happy on stage. To me, seeing an artist doing what they love is what makes the performance a million times more enjoyable. Lennon decided to pause the hype for just a minute to slow things down with a cool and acoustic rendition of "Polaroid," and what she called a "sad version of a happy song" before strumming a mellow version of Cyndi Lauper's iconic hit, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"

The unique thing about Lennon Stella was her energy, AND the ability to have fans hanging on to every lyric that was sung that night, especially with her newest single, "BITCH (takes one to know one). in a weird way, it was almost like she was the entire audience’s older sister and singing songs with lyrics that really resonate with the listener, and is accompanied with a voice that sounds like a warm hug.

One would never expect an artist like her with a sweet, and silky-soft voice to sing semi-harsh lyrics like "takes a bitch to know a bitch" but let's say I was blasting that song on full volume the entire way home after the show.

Some of you may recognize Lennon Stella from the hit TV show, Nashville; I can say with confidence that she's grown so much from the show. With a headline tour coming to a close, and a European tour with Anne-Marie, and a tour with The Chainsmokers & 5SOS? Lennon Stella is ready to make the world her bitch.
